Our Classes for Everyone are designed for beginners, but are challenging enough to be enjoyed by experienced designers. Each fun and informative class focuses on one floral concept.

If you love flowers... You will love our classes!!

As you create a beautiful arrangement, you will learn care and handling techniques, the elements and principles of design and basic flower arranging skills.

Basic of European Floral Design

If you have ever wanted to learn floral design, this is a perfect class. In Basics of European Floral Design, you will learn the contemporary design techniques utilized in European design as you create your own contemporary landscape design.

You will learn the techniques of basing, pave, pillowing and terracing as well as the botanical design concept of multiple binding points. A favorite of Northwest gardeners, this design style is perfect for using your own home grown flowers.

An Introduction to Floral Design Basics

Want to learn how to create lovely arrangements for your home? Or, maybe you have been designing for awhile and need a refresher course on design mechanics. This is a perfect class for you! We’ll be reviewing the elements and principle of design as you create three designs to take home.

We’ll also take an in-depth look at the contemporary mechanics being used by professional floral designers today. Included in this class are mechanics for foam based arrangements, tricks for working with fresh water designs and techniques for hand-tied bouquets. This is a great way to expand your skills with new, fun and creative arrangements.

Spring Flowers in a Basket

A Tisket, a Tasket, a Pretty Springtime Basket. Nothing will shake off the winter blues faster than a basket filled with colorful spring flowers. Join us and make an exquisite basket arrangement, brimming with Mother Nature’s best. A luscious collection of early spring blooms and elegant roses are nested together in an old fashioned romance-filled arrangement.

You will learn the techniques and mechanics used in every basket design and how to choose flowers that last well in floral foam. This is a favorite design for a casual centerpiece or friendship gift.

Advanced Prom Corsages

Prom night, the biggest most important night of the year if not of their whole life! Just ask the teenage girls you know... After months of agonizing over the perfect gown, the hairdo dilemma and the exact match of nail polish, it’s time to coordinate the corsage. Oh, horrors! What will match? What will enhance? What will be better than everyone else’s?

At last, a class that will answer all these questions plus, we will cover time saving techniques and money making tips you can use with your customers today.

Arranging Roses

If you love roses, this is a wonderful time to be alive. There was a time when a “Rose” was an expensive rarity. Today, there are literally hundreds of rose varieties, colors, shapes and sizes available throughout the year. But, a rose in spring still seems the most beautiful. Join us as we review the major varieties of roses grown in Holland, Canada, California and South America.

You will learn updated care and handling methods, novel design styles and new techniques as you create your own beautiful spring rose arrangement.

Pot des Fleur

One of our most popular classes, this natural “Landscape Botanical” design style will remind you of an overgrown potting table in an old English conservatory. Spring blossoms, grasses and branches combine to create a unique and marvelous floral design. We will demonstrate and discuss the styles of Natural Floral Design including Vegetative, Botanical and Landscape.

You will create a wonderful melange of terra-cotta pots filled with beautiful blooming plants, colorful cut flowers, branches, foliage, grasses and moss.

Arranging Spring Flowers in a Vase

As the days begin to lengthen and warm, your garden explodes with bright daffodils and colorful tulips. The markets are filled with wonderful spring flowers, foliage and grasses. It feels so good to see winter retreat. You have shopped, harvested and gathered a marvelous bundle of flowers and foliage... Now What? Join us and learn how to create wonderful vase arrangements. You will also learn how to purchase, harvest, condition and care for your flowers for the longest vase life.

In this class you will arrange a variety of blooms and foliage in the classic French weave techniques. Celebrate spring by bringing long lasting, glorious fresh flower bouquets into your home.

Elegant Bridal Bouquets

You will love the style and grace of this design. The new Elegant Bouquet Holder from Oasis is the greatest thing to hit bridal bouquet designing since the debutante holder was created. Introduction to Corsages

It”s Springtime, and this is your chance to learn the art of corsage design. Corsages are enjoying a resurgence in popularity. But, today’s popular corsages are not the ones worn by our Grandmothers. In this class you will learn the mechanics of wiring and tapping flowers, and the techniques of making the popular “garden look” corsage.

This class offers excellent basic training for anyone planning to take additional wedding design classes and will prepare you for the upcoming prom corsage season.

If you have ever visited the European cities of Amsterdam or Paris, you were probably overwhelmed by the beautiful hand-tied bouquets sold by every florist and flower vendor. Hand-tied bouquets are one of the hottest new trends in America. Like the Europeans, American flower lovers are discovering the joy of purchasing a fresh hand-tied bouquet every week, taking the bouquet home to unwrap and drop into a vase of water.

In this class you will learn the basic techniques used to lace colorful spring flowers together into freestanding bouquets designed to easily drop into any vase you choose. This is a contemporary floral design technique that you will want to use often in your home and to make gift bouquets for friends.

Basics of Asian Floral Design

Garden Style Bridal Bouquets


The garden style bridal bouquet is currently one of the most popular floral fashions in the wedding scene. Natural, uncontrived and filled with flowers from the garden. This style of bouquet while beautiful, can be tricky to create. In this class we will demonstrate the techniques used to create the garden styled bridal bouquet.

We will explore the various designs, share tips on the care and handling of fragile and temperamental garden flowers and demonstrate decorative finishes for bouquets as you create your own beautiful garden styled bridal bouquet.
